The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is an approach to the religious formation of children. It is rooted in the Bible, the Liturgy of the Church, and the educational principles of Maria Montessori. Central to this approach is the Atrium, a sacred space prepared for the children. A place of beauty, the atrium is designed for being with and enjoying God, listening to God’s Word, and praying. At St. Robert Bellarmine, we are blessed to have three atria: Level I for ages 3-6 yrs., Level II for ages 6-9 yrs., and Level III for ages 9-12 yrs.
