Our Office Staff
My name is Marty Rymarz and I will be stepping into the rather large shoes left behind by Tim Cassady. I am blessed to be able to help coordinate the Liturgy and wanted to reach out to each of you to both introduce myself and say thank you for all you do as volunteers for this ministry of breaking open the word of God through your reading of sacred scripture. We believe that scripture is the inspired word of God and what a blessing it is for you to share your time and talent to deliver this inspired word through your voice. Thank you!
A little about myself. I am married and have four children and 3 grandchildren. The family is growing and by the end of the year we will have 5 grandchildren. What a blessing indeed. I currently work full time as a consultant to General Motors and am working at the Lake Orion Assembly plant as we are in the process of retooling that factory to build the new electric pickup trucks. I am also a student at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit and am nearing completion of my Masters in Pastoral Studies. I have 4 classes left before graduation. I have worked as a hospital chaplain at Beaumont as well as a Hospice care volunteer for several years in the Flint area. Both my wife and I are Oblates of St. Benedict and made our oblation with the Benedictine monastery in Oxford, MI. During our travels, after I retired from working directly for GM, we were blessed to volunteer and live in community with the Benedictine Sisters in Atchison, Kansas for 6 months. In kind of a life coming full circle moment, I attended St. Robert as a child with my grandparents Genevieve and Stanley Rymarz, so this is a bit like a homecoming for me.
