REGISTRATION IS CLOSED FOR 2024/2025 – if you are interested in the Toddler Atrium for 2025-2026, please contact the Religious Ed. Department at (810) 659-8556.

We are so excited and blessed to welcome the youngest members of our faith community into the Toddler Atrium!
The Toddler Atrium is a prepared environment in which the youngest child’s spiritual life is fed by prayer, work, and celebration aided by a catechist. The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is an approach to the religious formation of children, rooted in the Bible and Liturgy, and the educational principles of Maria Montessori.

Who is this for? This is for children who are fifteen months to two and a half years of age. A parent is also welcome and be present during the atrium session – to observe their child and the beauty of his/her spiritual life. Parents are also welcome to bring infants! We have a Nido or “Nest” area for the infants who may be among us.

Why a Toddler Atrium? We want to honor and foster the spiritual life of all members of our faith community – including the very youngest baptized among us! Young children have a special relationship with God, who calls them by name. The Toddler Atrium is a place of prayer and work, where the Toddler can have his or her vital religious needs met.

When: Wednesday, 9:00am-11:30am; October 16, 2024 – April 30, 2025. We follow the rhythm of the liturgical year in the atrium.
A calendar and schedule will be available upon registration.

Where: Parents and children enter the Henry St. entrance of St. Robert School. The Toddler Atrium is Room 4.
